We all know that narcissists tend to make people’s lives harder, especially at Christmas. They love to siphon happiness off those around them. Narcissists hate Christmas, because they don’t like it when others are happy. They don't like making gifts or receiving gifts that do not meet their overly excessive requirements. No gift could ever be good enough for them, no meal is ever good enough, no person seems to be good enough to a narcissist’s opinion.

Whenever a narcissist is around at a Christmas gathering, they tend to poison the energy and infuse it with negativity, passive-aggression, mean comments, judgements,”hidden” insults, anger and they even turn people against each other while they’re putting on a clean slate. Sooner or later, every narcissist creates chaos at Christmas, because they hate peace and find it boring. Unfortunately you cannot explain to a narcissist how much better it would be to behave differently, this would make them behave worse. So it is obvious that you cannot do anything “right” in the eyes of a narcissist. And after the holidays you have to rest and recharge for several days to get your life-energy back.
